TerraStay took root just before the world paused in 2020, when knowing exactly where your food comes from suddenly mattered more than ever. That belief still guides us: ethical, organic practices and a quiet promise to tend this land, and everything we grow on it, with the same care we'd want tending our own table.

Just up the road from the shops, the ballroom, and the river that runs through downtown Saxapahaw, TerraStay is where we hope you'll slow down the way the whole village seems to. Settle into one of the Amish-crafted rockers that live right on your porch, wander the pasture to say hello to the flock, and some evenings you might even catch the music drifting up from a festival in town. Let this little corner feel like yours for a while.

Farm-Stay Cabins
Your home away from home while you're here - a queen bed, 600-thread-count sheets, a kitchenette, and a private porch with handmade rockers, a half-mile farm-and-path hike down to the river, the ballroom, and all of Saxapahaw.
A different kind of stay
Each cabin faces the sunrise, looking out over a misty pasture speckled with grazing sheep. Mornings start with organic French press coffee on the porch; some evenings, after a hard rain, you can hear the dam rushing behind the cabins - and more than once, from the rockers, we've been gifted a showy rainbow hovering over the sheep and the farm.
